All the rendering code on Pelicanpathway.com is Verified XHTML 1.00 Strict with Verified CSS 2.0 style sheets. All Pelicanpathway.com pages should render properly on all modern, standards compliant web browsers.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or any version less them IE7) you are seeing a downgraded version of this website. Downgrading features is necessary to make these pages render acceptably in the older Microsoft browsers. The content is the same, only the style sheet is affected but the pages have a very different look on modern, standards compliant browsers. Visitors using early versions of Netscape or other older browsers may have problems with this site.

This is what the top of the Pelican Pathway Home page looks like on a modern browser. IE6 just doesn't handle multiple fixed background images properly. If you want to see these pages as I intended them to look, give one of the more modern browsers a try. They are very easy to download and install and have many features that are not available on the older browsers. Firefox 2.0.0.7, Opera 9.23 and the improved but still lacking Internet Explorer 7 are all FREE!
If you must use Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you should upgrade to IE7
